The Role
The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the end-to-end procurement of materials, equipment, and services for pool, landscaping, and construction projects. The role ensures that all purchases meet technical specifications, quality standards, cost targets, and delivery timelines, supporting fast and efficient project execution. The successful candidate will build and manage a strong supplier base, drive cost-effective solutions, and work closely with engineering, projects, and finance to support the company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and project-specific procurement plans based on BOQs, drawings, and material schedules
- Lead the sourcing, evaluation, and selection of suppliers for pool equipment, MEP items, civil and finishing materials, and specialist systems
- Obtain, analyse, and negotiate quotations to secure the best combination of price, quality, and delivery in line with company policies
- Issue and manage purchase orders, framework agreements, and contracts, ensuring compliance with approval limits and procedures
- Monitor order status, follow up on deliveries, and resolve issues related to quantity, quality, logistics, or documentation
- Coordinate with site teams and warehouses to manage stock levels and avoid material shortages or excess inventory
- Maintain and continuously improve supplier databases, price lists, and performance records
- Support technical evaluations, submittals, and alternative proposals in coordination with engineering and QA/QC
- Collaborate with finance on invoice verification, payment terms, and cash-flow considerations
- Promote ethical, transparent procurement practices and contribute to ongoing cost and process optimisation
Skills and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (engineering or construction background preferred)
- 3+ years of procurement experience in construction, MEP, pools, or landscaping in the UAE/GCC, including at least 1 year in a senior or lead role
- Strong understanding of construction and MEP materials, pool systems, and relevant technical specifications
- Proven negotiation and vendor management skills, with a track record of cost savings and value creation
- Good knowledge of procurement processes, contracts, Incoterms, and commercial terms
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with ERP or procurement systems
- Organized, detail-oriented, and responsible, with strong communication skills and high integrity
